MetaMundo Launches metaEstates_VILLA 3D NFT in Collaboration with the American Architect Luis Fernandez

MetaMundo (https://metamundo.co/), the world’s premier 3D NFT marketplace, announced its second 3D NFT to be dropped: the world’s most luxurious villa ever designed for the metaverse. The second 3D NFT drop for the marketplace: ‘metaEstates_VILLA’–being sold in an exclusive edition of 42–was designed by the celebrated architect Luis Fernandez. The 3D NFT has been–like all NFTs minted by MetaMundo–optimized for use throughout the open metaverse such as for within Spatial, Decentraland, and Cryptovoxels. MetaMundo will continue to future-proof its 3D NFTs, post-sale, optimizing them for maturing and newer metaverses.
The sprawling and ocean-adjacent villa–complete with an NFT gallery, meditation pavilions, and viewing and entertaining areas–is an overwhelmingly immersive space for meeting, playing or relaxing with colleagues and friends. Owners of the villa are teleported to its main entry upon arrival, a massive towering portico recalling ancient Greek temples, but at an unbuildable real-life scale.
The marriage between the landscape and the architecture recalls the work of modernist architects but is reconceiving given the lack of physics and materiality of the metaverse. The main interior spaces, engaging with the portico and connected by a floating NFT gallery, recall the architecture of Mies van der Rohe–with its ample use of natural stone and open space that is equally about framing the landscape, as it is about co-existing with landscape.
Fernandez is an American ‘hybrid-creative’, active within the fields of fashion, design, architecture, and interior design. His work is also a byproduct of his education at Cornell; introducing him to the possibility that architecture is more than only designing buildings. This led him to branch out into fashion design — after many years of designing fashion retail spaces around the globe; going on to show his own menswear collections at New York Fashion Week.
Fernandez has been a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CDFA), since 2011 — and currently divides his time between NYC and LA.
