MetaMundo & the Metaverse: Villas, Concerts, Zen Art Gardens, MetaPortals, & More
On July 19th of 2022, MetaMundo officially introduced our curated 3D collectibles marketplace to the world, when we launched our new digital home: metamundo.co
Just over two months onward, we have completed our third curated collectible 3D drop—the first was the ‘Zen Art Garden’ gallery and lounge space by Dutchtide; the second was the luxurious ocean-front villa by the LA-NYC-based architect and hybrid creator, Luis Fernandez; and the third was a music and festival dance space, for concerts and parties held in the metaverse—the ‘Creature House’—by the Italian, and London-based metaverse artist Mila Lolli. MetaMundo began as an idea between Mark Studholme and Finn Hansen; two tech entrepreneurs, whose talents combined to see the opportunity of working with a wide range of creators from the architecture, art, and design fields—though in the digital realm of the metaverse, by offering a platform for them to host their work for sale, to expand their reach beyond their traditional fans and collectors.
They specifically zoomed in on the possibility of connecting the world of NFTs to the world of 3D collectibles in the form of assets, scenes, avatars, wearables, and artworks, in the form of, for instance, buildings or art galleries—which would follow the owner of each NFT, with numerous customized files. The way our 3D creations work is that they are customized for each metaverse—as Roblox, Spatial, and Decentraland—meaning they can be used in each one. It is a way for metaverse users to be able to take their assets from one metaverse to another, as most metaverses are ‘siloed’ in nature. By allowing 3D assets to be able to, operate in each major metaverse, MetaMundo’s vision is to help build an open metaverse; meaning metaverse platforms are easily traversed. Since our 3D assets are optimized to seamlessly travel between metaverses, we are also helping to solve issues of interoperable assets; a house, concert stage, a villa, or even a portal purchased from MetaMundo, shows that awareness, on the part of its owner.
This is why our genesis asset—The Metaportal: OG1500—was created: to showcase the technology behind our 3D digital collectibles. The MetaPortal can be deployed in the major metaverses, and literally be walked through, to teleport to a different metaverse.
Whether on a desktop, mobile device, or fully immersed in the world of virtual reality through the use of a VR headset; we’re making the metaverse more fun, more beautiful, and more interoperable by championing the idea that: the future of the metaverse, is open.
Stay tuned, as we gear up to release news about the future of our curated marketplace.
